Dance Classes at Woodrow Wilson Elementary

Rachel Kleinman was asked to come teach a modern dance class to students in the after school program at Woodrow Wilson Elementary this month. She is teaching classes from 6-7pm on Thursdays and has from 10-25 kids each time. They kids have had fun trying out something new and just having fun together even though it is the end of a very long school day for everyone! What a great experience!

Habitat for Humanity Landscaping Sept 17, 2016

On September 17th about 20 Friend 2 Friend students over the age of 16 met to go to Tooele and help on a Habitat for Humanity House. When we arrived we found out we were to help prep and lay sod for the house that had been completed. It was a long day of work and fun! The homeowner and family were very appreciative of our hard work and the Habitat for Humanity staff said we were one of the best youth groups they had ever worked with!

Habitat for Humanity Restore Sept 17, 2016

Cambry Robbins - wrote this after participating in the Habitat for Humanity Restore project on September 17th. "The Habitat for Humanity Restore is a nonprofit home donation center that sells gently used furniture, appliances, and building materials for a fraction of the price. Friend 2 Friend was asked to help organize the Restore building, and get rid of items that couldn’t be sold. Organizing the Restore was hard, messy, and dirty work, but I was happy to do it knowing that I was helping other people. It took a while, but working with friends made all the difference. We had to lift some heavy things, but everyone was there to help each other out." jenniferkleinman@gmail.com
